CFS Newsletter No. 5 - 2017

Dear All,

A few days ago, Professor dr.theol. Arne Grøn retired from his position as Professor of Ethics and Philosophy of Religion. In addition to being a professor at the Faculty of Theology, Arne Grøn is also one of the founders of the Center for Subjectivity Research. He played a crucial role as co-applicant on the original successful application to the Danish National Research Foundation, has served on our scientific board since 2002, and has over the years been an immense support and driving force at CFS.

Grøn has primarily been in charge of our research in philosophy of religion and hermeneutics. A leading Hegel and Kierkegaard scholar, Grøn has also contributed to our ongoing projects with his profound knowledge of French and German 20th century philosophy.

Some of his significant research themes in recent years include self-transcendence, self-alienation, the temporal character of human self-understanding, and emotions and normativity.

To celebrate his work, the Section for Systematic Theology is organizing an event (in Danish) on May 5, 2-4 PM.

All are welcome.
