In Memoriam
Professor Jonathan Lear 09.10.1948–22.09.2025

Three short memorial lectures and a subsequent funeral beer
We gather to say goodbye to one of the most important thinkers of the 21st century, who, with his great commitment, has united Aristotelian ethics, Freudian psychoanalysis and existential analytical philosophy.
Students, colleagues and other interested parties are welcome to an afternoon with three short lectures followed by a free philosophical conversation and a funeral beer.
Lectures
- Morten Thaning Sørensen: Hope, irony and collapse according to Jonathan Lear
- Johan Gersel: Analytical Existentialism – Lear and the Legacy of Bernard Williams
- Line Ryberg lngerslev: Repetition, Discovery, Memory – psychoanalytic motives in a philosophical context
