The center is an interdisciplinary "Center of Excellence" funded by the Danish National Research Foundation, with supplementary funding from the University of Copenhagen (Faculty of Humanities, Faculty of Theology, Faculty of Health Sciences). The current research program of the center is entitled "The Self: An Integrative Approach".
