Accommodation

It's a good idea to book your accommodation well ahead of time, as summertime in Copenhagen is generally quite busy. Most neighbourhoods of Copenhagen are relatively close to the venue, and can be easily accessed by bus, metro, taxi, walking, or biking (if you decide to get a rental). Below we've collected just a few of the many options at your disposal for accommodation during your stay here in August. Please note that while we list them here for your convenience, we do not have any arrangements with them, so you are responsible for researching them for yourself before booking.  

An excellent resource beyond what we've included here is the "Visit Copenhagen" website, which has abundant information on this topic. You can also use a search engine to look for hostels and hotels in the area, such as Skyscanner.

The Summer School venue will be at the University of Copenhagen, Faculty of Humanities, located at:

- Borgergade (3 km from campus)
- Bernstorffsgade (3 km from campus) 

Generator Hostel (€20-€64): Centrally located in walking distance (600 m) from Kongens Nytorv metro (metro direct to conference location).

DanHostel Copenhagen City (€21-€88): Walking distance (1,6 km) from conference location.

Hotel Jørgensen (€21-€24): Very central hostel and right next to the Nørreport Station (metro direct to conference location).

Copenhagen Backpackers Hostel: (~€38): Centrally located in Vesterbro, right next to the Central Train Station. Walking distance to the venue is 2.8 km, and bus lines are conveniently located.

Copenhagen Downtown Hostel (€40-€170): Very centrally located near the City Hall Square. Decent walking distance to venue (2.4 km) or easy access to bus lines.

Hotel Windsor (€52-€76): Very central and right next to the Nørreport Station (metro direct to conference location).

Ibsens Hotel (€86-€104): Very central and right next to the Nørreport Station (metro direct to conference location).

Hotel Bethel (€96-€147): Centrally located and right by the habour (Nyhavn) in walking distance (500 m) from Kongens Nytorv Station (metro direct to conference location).

Best Western Mercur Hotel (€100-€124): Centrally located in walking distance (1,1 km) from Nørreport Station (metro direct to conference location).
